there are so many options for the clutch, id like your advice on which you have used and which would be appropriate for me.
i have been reading through the forum and haven't found the definitive answer that ive been looking for...

so, im rebuilding a smallframe 50 special with a polini 130 kit, mazz. "race" crank, and 25mm delorto and polini bean can. nothing crazy.
the clutch that was in there exploded when the circlip came off. probably put in wrong or something.

im looking at the newfren sport clutch for the "PK" with 6 springs or the newfren sport for the 50 with 1 spring.

i like that the PK clutch has 6 separate springs and is supposed to have a lighter pull than the single "reinforced" spring of the regular sport clutch.

if i use the PK clutch, do i need to make modifications to anything or do ui need to use a different thrust plate?
(the thrust plate is the round part that sits on top with the wire right????)
ive read that you did and ive read that some didnt...

any input is appreciated!!!!!
thanks

apparently i have to modify the basket and change the pressure plat to a bearing type and possibly clearance the cover.
sounds like alot of effort and cost to me.
i wonder if it is worth it????
