Modern Vespa

After your presents have been opened, and you need to escape the relatives fighting in the living room, and you've broken all of the Modern Vespa bulbs for the umpteenth time, here's something to play with..... pretty accurate for me, it stuck my speech in eastern Wisconsin.

Sorry, not much for the ferriners outside the U.S. here, but it might be fun to see where you'd best fit if you were to hang out here.

EDIT: Most of my answers show all of the US in blue (= least similar). Final result: I must be from Jersey City or Yonkers or New York.

Big surprise. Tacoma, Spokane and Salt Lake City, given that I was born and raised in Washington State.

The only weird regional thing I say is, y'all. And yes, I can use it correctly in a sentence. I have no idea where I picked up on it. That, and I say soda instead of the more common (to the Pacific Northwest) pop.

My dialect showed Washington D.C. I grew up in Gaithersburg, MD which is very close to D.C. Very nice.

Ha, how about that. That thing sure had me figured out. It gave three cities- Birmingham, AL, Montgomery, AL and Columbus, Georgia. I have lived in Montgomery most of my life. I did live in north AL for about 3 years and south AL for about 4 years. Some parts of north AL pronounce aunt as ain't.

Cool. It picked Honolulu, HI; Portland, OR/Vancouver, WA; and San Jose, CA.
I have lived most of my life in Hawaii, did a short stint in Vancouver, and my Mom's side of the family is from California (though, a bit south toward LA.)

Well I am Santa Rosa, Reno or Boise. I was born and raised in Anaheim and spent 20 years in Washington state. Hmmm. Pretty close. Thanks for posting.

These guys know their stuff. It targeted me right on. Same exact city I was born in, but haven't lived there in 57 years. (I am, however, up the highway about 40 miles.)

Picked Springfield MA ( lived not far from there but i don't get the Minneapolis MN or the Fremont CA ones Haven't even been to them.

Growing up I definitely had the Rhode Island accent. You know, Cliff Claven - Matt Damon kind of accent. When I went into the service I was taunted non-stop about how I said things. By people from Erie Pennsylvania and Canton Ohio of all places. So, I forced myself into a flat non accented way of speaking. The last of it was washed away when my wife teased me about how I pronounced 'drawer' (draw). So, I bit of draw-urr practice and here I am.

There are some words I still pronounce the old (correct) way, like aunt (with the U).

A real WTF to my wife but I worked at losing my original "Fargo" lilt.

Lower Lumpite talks like, Oceanside, Fresno, Modesto.
