I am thinking there is no way my P200 can power my nifty new 90 watt heated jacket liner. The headlight isn't that bright and I believe it is a mere 35 watts.
Does anyone know a P200s charging output to satisfy my curiosity?

You mean to power your jacket off AC?
Make sure you paint some eyes on the back of your helmet so a mountain lion doesn't attack you while you are riding through the mountains. |

You only have ~85W to work with, about 50W on the battery side. The turn signals alone draw about 50W but they are only on part of the time.
I'd not try and run an accessory continuously that draws more than about 25W.

First Gear/Warmn Safe Jacket Liner and Batteries
T5bitza69 wrote: id check that too .... most heated stuff ive looked at says dont use rechargables due to the slow drain or summat .... gave up n stay cold now The jacket rocks, I've used it a couple times on my Triumph (hardwired). The draw is pretty hard, I have to turn the jacket off to run the starter effectively. I was pretty sure the Vespa couldn't run it, but was interested in how much electrical output we do generate. Huge tip: First Gear has contracted with WarmnSafe to make these jackets. The two companies sell almost all the stuff for the same price, except the batteries. WarmnSafe sells the batteries for about half what a First Gear dealer offers them for. I ordered two batteries, but bought the GF a jacket too. For longer rides we will probably need two batteries each. http://www.warmnsafe.com/ |

Bottom line is heat takes power and heating elements draw a lot.
Try an LED jacket warmer. ![]() |
