Modern Vespa

This is my all time favourite photo of my Vespa .
Had been following friends down th farm race thru th mud, but got stuck following th track made by the tractor wheel...
This is my first Vespa, a VBC 150 Super, which I still have... It's the "stretched" one as my avatar, oops.
I did ask the person on the left to get out of the photo, but they refused! One day I will scan it properly and photoshop them out of it.

That is "Appliance White" painted by Solo in nz who also make chai saws, the nz manufacturer/assembler of Vespas.
In th background it Mt Pirongia, I worked in Pirongia for years.

Cheers for th change in view, it was a photo from further down under than Aust, hence th view being sideways

appliance white is th colour of fridges (& brides)... Even less glamorous!

Your guess is about right, I'm shifting right now, but now the plate is somewhere abouts still.
Th only bit missing in th crappy metal cowl surround... I sold it when I was leaving NZ to live in Aust, alone with a 180 sprint or SS body.

The rocks are white or light gray. What you are seeing there is part of the local environmental fertilizer recycling initiative.

Did you stop and turn around and go back home.. or gingerly tip toe through the herd?

Just slow down enuff for them to get out of the way. Honk your horn to expedite, they are not clever and seem amazed that you've suddenly appeared.

You'd never get anywhere if you turn around & go home for every herd of goats you run into . You always slow for blind curves, goats are only one of many possible surprises.

I dig that fishmouth bumper Josh.. it's just so damn ugly it's rad.. IIHYB (if I had your bike) I'd sport that thing too! glad you didn't sell!

Here's a sweet photo of some post-offroad action in Moldova. Those aren't Vietnamese yellow boots btw -- they came from a medical supply shop and were built for geriatric walkers. They were all I could find in Romania, and did the trick at less than a dollar a pop!
