Hi, I am new to having a bike and not at all mechanically minded. My ET4 leader which I have previously bought.. Can anyone tell me what this pipe is for , it seems to lead to the air filter, I have put some tissue around the pipe so you can see were it leads to , thanks
That appears to be the crankcase vent tube. My understanding is this allows the pressure generated from the underside of the piston to be dissipated and breathes through the main air filter. It usually has a coating of engine oil in it especially if you ride at high speed. They seem to soften up with time then get damaged when you take it off for a valve adjustment. I have a new one on order from my dealer now.
Hi, thanks for a quick response, I am still trying to find out were to order a fuel tap , air filter and a spark plug from....
I will look into ordering one of these pipes as an when I find out were to order from, much appreciated
