Is the first service due at 1,000 km or 12 month which ever comes first or is it just when it reaches 1,000 km no matter how long it takes, iam looking at a 18 month old GTS that hasent had its first service yet, 750 km on the clock, cheers, buster.

Well, we'd hope anyone would ride their new GTS at least 1000 km in the first year, but clearly some don't. I'd say just get the service done when/if you acquire the bike. A few km more or less is really not critical.

Buster,

I'd say go by mileage and when it reaches it rather than time (GTS riders/use is so varied), but you can check out the service specs and guidance with the GTS manuals available in the Wiki...

Service Intervals

Readme1st ! : Modern Vespa Wiki

A lot of GTS service work is pretty simple with a couple of specialist tools anyway, but I guess you'll want dealer servicing on a near new GTS still within its warranty period.

If you look in the owners manual they have only mileage intervals with no time setting
Would still change oil & filter once a year though
