Has anyone heard if Piaggio will reinstate the rebates they had a little while ago? They were offering $700 off on BV350's. I have a crazy idea I've been thinking about if this comes around again soon. Dealers?

I suggest look around for 2013 models at the dealer. I picked up mine two weeks ago for $4800 OTD. From looking at Craig's list and cycle trader, that price was unusual, but maybe you can find a good deal too.

Factory to dealer incentives and rebates are predicated on how many units the OEM has in their warehouse. Most incentives do disappear in December, and don't reappear until Spring, because they don't feel the need to offer incentives when nobody is buying bikes and dealers are going to do everything they can to get units off their flooring anyway.
Now that the 2013 BV is what is called a new non-current, Piaggio will do what they can to get them out of their warehouse and off of deaer's flooring, because if they are sitting on dealership floors, dealers won't order 2014s. Unlike OEMs that have successful incentive programs, Piaggio's come and go at random, apparently devoid of logic or marketing sense. So if they have bikes in the warehouse, and the 2014s are also in the warehouse, sooner or later they are going to drop their drawers and offer another rebate. These usually happen a month into the season, when they realize they didn't move as many units as the ouiji board said they would. So be patient. If there are new non-currents to be had, Piaggio will bring back rebates, financing incentives, and other offers, and dealers will take whatever they can get to get the units out of their inventory and off their flooring accounts. |

Thanks for the replies. Dealers in my area really don't "deal" on Piaggios. One that is close by has a black 2013 for $6049 plus tax/title. Ain't gonna happen. David- if I were closer I would take you up on a 2014- in blue! My thought is if I can find a black 2013 for $4999 and change out the plastics and seat to black I would do it. This is the year I'm going to trade/sell my Reflex and get something a little bigger- BV350 would fit the bill.
