Has anyone heard if Piaggio will reinstate the rebates they had a little while ago? They were offering $700 off on BV350's. I have a crazy idea I've been thinking about if this comes around again soon. Dealers?

Bob those dropped off 11/30. The only rebates I'm familiar with are $500 on LX and S 150 and a smaller one on LX and S 50. I believe Piaggio emptied their incentive tank on previous promotions which is good because obviously consumers took advantage of it.

Wish you lived here, I would hook you up on a 2014.

Happy New Year buddy,

I suggest look around for 2013 models at the dealer. I picked up mine two weeks ago for $4800 OTD. From looking at Craig's list and cycle trader, that price was unusual, but maybe you can find a good deal too.

Factory to dealer incentives and rebates are predicated on how many units the OEM has in their warehouse. Most incentives do disappear in December, and don't reappear until Spring, because they don't feel the need to offer incentives when nobody is buying bikes and dealers are going to do everything they can to get units off their flooring anyway.
Now that the 2013 BV is what is called a new non-current, Piaggio will do what they can to get them out of their warehouse and off of deaer's flooring, because if they are sitting on dealership floors, dealers won't order 2014s. Unlike OEMs that have successful incentive programs, Piaggio's come and go at random, apparently devoid of logic or marketing sense. So if they have bikes in the warehouse, and the 2014s are also in the warehouse, sooner or later they are going to drop their drawers and offer another rebate. These usually happen a month into the season, when they realize they didn't move as many units as the ouiji board said they would. So be patient. If there are new non-currents to be had, Piaggio will bring back rebates, financing incentives, and other offers, and dealers will take whatever they can get to get the units out of their inventory and off their flooring accounts.

Thanks for the replies. Dealers in my area really don't "deal" on Piaggios. One that is close by has a black 2013 for $6049 plus tax/title. Ain't gonna happen. David- if I were closer I would take you up on a 2014- in blue! My thought is if I can find a black 2013 for $4999 and change out the plastics and seat to black I would do it. This is the year I'm going to trade/sell my Reflex and get something a little bigger- BV350 would fit the bill.

A lot of times, there are factory to dealer incentives, that they either tell you about or don't tell you about. I don't know if Piaggio does holdback or not, but if you can find out about what the dealer is in the bike, what incentives are out there, how long it's been sitting on his floor, and make him an offer that takes into account the costs he incurred, whether or not he's paying interest to keep it on his floor, and remind the salesperson that it's not the only one ever made, nor is it irreplaceable, you can get some great deals this time of year in the part of the world you live in. If he's paying interest, the odds are that he can either take your deal and pay it off, or will be paying to look at it for four more months, until the season really takes off in Ohio. People aren't storming the gates right now to buy those things. Another thing to keep in mind with prices, is that advertised prices can vary greatly due to the way dealers sort of randomly add freight, prep and set-up fees. A dealer can advertise the bike for $500 back of his cost, and then get you in the door and freight, prep and setup you right back into profitability.
