I do the straps that way and have never had an issue except for sometimes the strap will distort the grip a bit(I use soft squishy aftermarket grips thou).

When are you going to make those barends out of something heavy enough to act as dampeners Nyle? Maybe stainless?

I do like the way the CRG/LS mirrors fit, well close enough(I trimmed mine a bit).
