Hello fellows,
I am very new to vespa ownership with 1608 miles on my 1980 p200e I bought last month with 1599 miles on it. So yes I'm still in the single digits...

I have been trying to tune up the bike and all seems well except my right rear turn signal flasher. It appears to me that the contact in the cowl pin assembly on the right cowl is gone. I have been scouring the net looking for this part but to no luck, tomorrow I will make some calls. If anybody has a workaround where I won't have to buy/paint a new cowl or could give me advice I would appreciate this very much.

generally you buy the cowl wire and feed it through the pin and clip it in the panel. 10minute job

I was looking for replacements for those.. I found a couple versions of the receptical end (for in the frame)

http://www.sip-scootershop.com/en/products/bush+stud+side+panel+for_21605310

but didn't see the part that goes on the cowl.. I thought we had a thread that someone showed it recently, but can't find that either.. I'm no help.

But if you're in a jam, just make sure some wire or good contact is exposed and put a nice blob of solder on the end..

I couldn't find one either online but I know they are out there. I saw them last year buying the female part of the cowl contact. Guy at the counter showed me both the pin with a wire attached and the female bushing.

Good luck.

thanks
yes this is it! i appreciate the quick responses. next time i'll check these sites.
I'm used to browsing parts diagrams broken down by system or operation. I haven't seen a line drawing yet and my mind gets fried after a bit.
Thanks again.
