Howdy folks,

So I finally bit the bullet and shelled out for a pair of Fournales shockers for the PX. It was the front & rear kit from SIP that I ordered, this one here:

http://www.sip-scootershop.com/en/products/shock+absorber+kit+fournales+_70940000

What arrived was two rear shocks, one slightly different from the other. I've since written to my dealer who orders from SIP and he says they'll send a front one ASAP, so long as I return one of the rear ones. Thing is, I'm not sure which one to return.

See attached. I've tried to describe the differences as best as I can here but in the meantime I'm getting no knowledge from the good people at Fournales or SIP about which one to keep, and which one to return. And there are no parts numbers on these things.

I know a few of you swear by the Fournales -- could you have a look and tell me what you think?

Cheers

Thats weird Jim.

It looks like someone put a rear in (I don't know why it's a slightly different length) in a front shock box..

I see the paperwork with 7 bar for the rear (which is correct) and the other one is 5.5 bar which I believe is correct for the Front shock.

I'll measure mine when I get home.. I just bought a new rear for my small frame, so I'll compare the one on my P to the new one and to yours and see when we end up.

I figured the same thing, that they just mixed up what was in the box. Keep in mind that the total length of these shocks is the same! Juat different cylinders.

Thanks for this guys. I guess I'll keep the shorter-cylinder one, as per Vader's measurements. (Vader, you purchased yours as part of the front & rear kit, correct? Not individually?)

Oh I didn't see where your at.I don't have a clue how many would buy it there.

Hope you get it right soon.

Wouldn't the longer one bottom out before the shorter one?

the one on my P came as part of a pair/set/kit , and the one for my small frame I bought individually/solo/by itself.
