Good evening,

For a while i was unable to determine what the issue was with my tilt-lock not disengaging whne throttle was applied. The scooter would restrict any power until I manually dissengaged the tilt lock by pressing the unlock switch twice.

Tonight I discovered that the wire was broken right where the wire comes up underneath the seat's hinge.

I am curious, have any of you replaced this wire? Do you know what gauge wire it is? Is it easy to find the other end of the wire so that I can solder it away from the bike?

I'm thinking I will buy a soldering kit and add a little bit of length to the wire so that it won't bend in the same place until failure again.

Thank you all.

tilt lock
Not me..but due to your info.. I have a heads up if mine does the same...thanks from a newbie.

A few times mine wouldn't engage.. being vertically challenged..butt wasn't correctly on seat high enough..cause I scoot to the tip to make contact with ground... my next "I wanna" mod will b Doug's bracket to lower the scoot.

Thanks for the post...

its a small gauge wire and a solder and splice will do just fine. don't forget to get some heat shrink as well.
