first off, fill the mirror mount holes with grease. This protects the threads from corrossion in case you ever decide to use them again. It's also a good idea to put grease on the threads of your mirrors any time you put new ones on.
As far as covering the holes, you can go to just about any hardware store and in the screws, bolts and nuts department there will probably be a section of little plastic plugs and caps. Take in a nut that has the same thread size and find ones that fit. They should be a bit snug, but once they are in, they will look like they were meant to be there.
This is also a great way to find caps for the holes in the fenders of black US market Vespas with the DOT reflectors.

aloha and welcome to the forum from Hawaii. Every time i see Cardiff i think Torchwood my fav show. There are plugs you can get. A friend got them at a local automotive shop but i haven't a clue where you can get them over there. Someone will chime in soon from your neck of the woods What kind of mirrors are you putting on? Good luck

I'm a big Eve Myles fan. Woud have been nice if they could have kept up the quality of the first season.
