Hello all! I am a new owner and member!!
I just got my Vespa yesterday and I have run into a bit of a snag. My dad got me this as a gift from his nice lady next door and it has been in her garage since '87, it is in beautiful shape, BUT she has no idea where the keys are. I have looked all through the internet to find out my options, but I wound up more confused than when I started! Crying or Very sad emoticon
Can you guys offer me any advice on how to go about getting new keys for it or do i have to replace all the locks?! Is that even possible!?
Thank you so much for any help!

Replacing the lock set is your only option. Some people will mention piocking the locks and all sorts of stuff, but you can just swap out the lock set and you'll be done.

This ^^^ would be the fastest way. However if you have the time you could take out the switch and send it to Jimh who makes keys for many people on here. Contact him first, of course.

One of those sets will work. Just have to verify your year model if there's even any difference in the two.

That thing looks pretty damn nice. Those tires should be tossed and new ones with new tubes installed. You can powder coat the rims, but I would definitely split them and clean them up. Flat tires are a real killjoy.

You did a good job on the clean up, looks nice. Maybe think about installing a regular petcock lever, the usa ones fail at the worst time.

Is the glovebox locked? If so you're in trouble. There are four nuts inside to remove it. Gonna have to pick the lock or drill it out. Great scoot BTW.

Even my color blind ass knows that's China blue.

Nice looking P series.

PM Jim on here about the keys, take a wire brush to the rims, shocks and rust and you're good to go. Check the tank for rust too.

I've already chatted with Jim. He was a huge help. He walked me through taking it apart so i could get the ignition switch out!
