Really long story - if you know me and the lolz I've added to this site (totally my opinion, the Mods may have a different opinion - but that may need a poll)

I need a Portland Or favor, today April 3, 2014.

Brief because I have to drive to Portland right now.

Long story: wife training to do long charity bicycle ride on POS bike. I convinced her to buy a decent bicycle; we went a bit over budget because it was a really cool color scheme and it was a last one/2013 model. She now loves bicycling, especially her bike, and the charity ride is Saturday.

The bike was stolen yesterday.

The only one of these exact bicycles in the US for sale was in Portland. I bought it or think I did. The store is putting their hands on it and confirming details.

I can't get there before they close.

I am leaving the Bay Area now to pick up the bike.

If I can get it picked up today, and you can stay awake until about 11PM, I can be back to the bike shop here so they can make all the adjustments and make sure it is ready for the ride on Saturday.

Friend of a friend picked up the bike at the dealer there.

I left Bay Area around 3, got there at 12:30, loaded the bike and drove home. Almost 1400 miles

Wife can do the ride tomorrow, and I can go hunting at the flea markets.

And glad you got the bike issue sorted. How did bike #1 get stolen?

Sucks that the bike was stolen. You're a good man to have taken the road trip to replace it. What I really want to know is: what did you get at the flea market?
