Never heard of an active bonnet. Found this from Mercedes. Looks like it can be reset easily but some of their documentation says it must be repaired by a qualified specialist.

Nissan too I guess.

Considering society and government looks to protect us from ourselves, this is the byproduct. This is why I still own an old pickup and 2 older Minis. The last Mercedes I purchased spent more time at the dealership than in my garage. Modern vehicles have become too complicated and costly to maintain. Maybe that's why I ride my bikes and scooters, as they enable me to occupy myself maintaining and enjoying simplistic motoring? A car is a machine to get its occupants from point A to B and back, yet they've become to laden with technology for my liking. If you decide to jump in front of me, be prepared for the consequences
