Have you ever wondered just how quick that Hot Rod Scooter really is? last night, while at ShadySide Raceway, near Shelby, NC. , we had the pleasure of meeting some folks who will be hosting a weekend of SCOOTER DRAG RACING! April 25-26th.

We were running the "BlowFly" to get some 1/8th mile times in preparation for a showdown with a Malossi 190 Fly from Atlanta (Jim, you know who you are )
Thinking the BlowFly was running pretty strong, we were humbled to see the ET's for a couple of China scoots. Those things ripped down the track in the low 10's. That is a good bit quicker than Vic's Kymco GTi300 which in stock form is a rocket compared to many scooters.
The guys from the sponsoring shop let us know they took three divisions at the October "Twist and Gone" event at Brown County, Indiana. Well, the T&G crew is helping promote this spring event down South. Over 75 entries are on the book so far.
If you want to have some fun, come on out. It is a laid back venue, you can "run what you brung" and be able to experience the rush of hitting the throttle to race down the track.

Oh, they did show us what was in the "pet carrier" under the seat....

Word is there will be some well tuned "shifty's" coming.

I love to watch drag races...
Some of them can run pretty fast in heels!

Yeah, I bet they are quick in Feragamos.
