ScooterWest sells this screen and I'm curious what, if any protection this screen actually provides. [/img]

I don't see any difference between that and the stock thing that comes with the scooter.

I had a fly screen when I first got my GTS. I got rid of it and got a mid-size. The fly screen is nearly useless when it comes to deflecting wind. If you plan on going on freeways or riding at speeds above 50 mph, you might want to consider getting a bigger windscreen.

I had one similar to it on an ET4. It directed the wind toward my chest and under my helmet. Though it looked good (it was the dark tinted model) it did nothing for my riding comfort. YMMV, as height and seating position have to be taken into account.

Might keep your hands a tad warmer.

Definitely will add a couple of MPH at the top end by reducing drag -- it pushes the airflow that would have hit your chest (and the inside of your upper arms as it spilled off your chest) over your shoulders and around.

Not sure it's better or worse at doing that than the OEM flyscreen of the same height, though. Flyscreens that size aren't about weather protection or noise reduction (they're actually noisier than not having one). All they do is reduce drag -- and marginally keep your torso a bit warmer by reducing the airflow hitting it.

Thanks for the replies. Looks like I'm going to go for a taller one. Anyone have experience with certain brands other than what I see at scooter west?

I have many different Windscreens for my GTS.
The only one that really satisfies my riding is the large OEM one because I do a mix of city and interstate riding. Now that the warmer weather is here in the Atlanta area, I am using the smallest one. But when I start getting to many bugs I will switch back to the big one.
