Cat's don't have owners. They have people. As many people as they can sucker.

The correct term for a cat's person is an "accomplice."

The way I've always heard it is:
Dogs have masters,
Cats have support staff.

We get that a lot at Genie's.

So I have two cats. We had one cat when we had our last dog but when she died we decided to get a second cat instead of a dog. Perhaps selfish but dogs require much more maintenance. With the cats we can be much more lax with our schedule. As long as they have food, water and kitty litter they are happy and if we take off for a few days with the automatic feeder they are ok. They are also great pets. Both of them think they are dogs and love to lounge with us or my kids when they are home. Great pets. But I do agree with the other posts that cats do think they run the house. We have a rug outside our house that says, the cats own the house, we just pay the mortgage. Just my opinion.
