Hey everybody!

I just purchased a Primavera yesterday and need to get a rear folding rack. I'd rather buy one off of eBay if I knew an LX one would fit, the dealer wasn't sure. I also have an LX windscreen at home but lost the hardware to try and put it on to see if it fits.

I'm including a pic of "Falcor", too bad it's rainy here otherwise I'd be riding.

Thanks!

Mel

MEL my friend, where the hell have you been and let me just say i'm envious. Beautiful. If i ever get a new one it'll be a Primavera. Glad your keeping it a 150. Leo has 27,000 miles on him now. I haven't a clue if things will fit but i'm sure someone will chime in. You sell th LX? Don't be such a stranger. How does it ride compared to the LX? Have fun with her and be careful. I will say knowing piaggio you have a 50 50 chance. Laughing emoticon

Hi Judy!

So sorry I haven't been on MV much lately, my local club (Voodoo Scoots) is a Facebook group.

The Primavera is miles away from the LX in terms of ride, so much smoother and feels more substantial. Of course I was riding an LX that had NO shocks for a year and it had a few issues, which is why I traded it in yesterday. Wanted to get something better before it started to cost too much to fix. Also didn't go on rides much lately because I was worried something would break . . .

It started raining the minute I pulled away from the dealer so I just went home, today is still stormy (thunderstorms coming) and I have to work this afternoon so I don't think I'll be able to really go on a good ride until tomorrow after work. I really love this bike and I don't usually like white bikes but with the red seat and all, it looks really classy.

Aloha my friend!!

Mel

NO FB here. I'm a holdout. Laughing emoticon Yeah when i look at the money i've put into Leo i could of had a new one but i love his color. I want to see how many miles i can get out of him. Shocks are huge. I put a Malossi on the front years ago but the Malossi on the rear makes it ride like a cadillac. They've just come down in price for the LX. Enjoy your new scooter. Yours was a carbed model, right? The IE ones are so much smoother. Keep us posted.

Yes, it was carbed and had dead shocks, a recently discovered oil leak (with a $300 fix), the rear tire leaks and the odometer/speedo cable needed to be replaced since I bought it. It's been reliable so far but I'm afraid the cost of repairs was almost the difference to getting a new one. I got a new belt and rollers in February which is when they discovered the oil leak. Crying or Very sad emoticon

I didn't realize how bad the shocks were until I rode the demo Primavera and was like !!!! As soon as I got back to the dealers I said I want it, I want it, I want it!!!

Well, the dealer could find out for you pretty darned fast. If the rear rack for the LX and the Primavera have the same part number, they are the same. If they don't.....

Congrats, Nice bike. I'm not sure if the cost of a new machine will ever be less than you'd have spent repairing the old; but it's as good a justification as any and you only live once.

I am not at the shop today however yesterday we held up a LX grabrail up to the back of a Prima and it appears to be unique by about 3/4 of an inch so I don't think so.

Can investigate this more on Tuesday.

Thanks! I am pretty sure my windscreen won't work, the Primavera's screen "holes" seem to dip down a bit which would make my windscreen hit the front of the bike. Poop.

I tried to fit my Faco mid-size LX windscreen and my Givi LX top case rack and neither would fit on the new Primavera.

Beautiful!!, a real keeper. Congrats to you. Somehow, I can't help but think this is one purchase that was pretty easy to justify... Enjoy.

And general question, why are these not on the Vespa website yet??

Not at all less but close enough to justify the new one for sure!

This makes me sad but not really surprised. Guess I'll be placing an order for the folding rack soonish.

Thank you! It's worlds better than the klunker I traded in, believe me! I'm not sure why it doesn't seem to be promoted much. I happened to call the dealer on Thursday to see when they were coming in and he said tomorrow so I went yesterday with my title in hand.
