Modern Vespa

Very weird problem. When engine is cold it starts and works fine. After driving it for about 5 minutes it looses power and shuts of. I am able to start it but can't rev it at all and it shuts of. After engine cools of I am able to start it again and the same thing happens.

I tried cleaning carburetor, replaced a spark plug but still nothing. I have a feeling that even when engine is cold, it does not have full power but slightly slower acceleration.

Anybody had the same problem or has idea what could be wrong?

BTW, Vespa has only 800 miles.

What year is it?How old is the gas?Two stroke or four?Soundslike clogged jets.

Bad coil??? Sometimes a bad cool will act like that.

It is 2012 4 stroke engine. I put the gas recently so that is not a problem. I already checked jets and they are ok.

That is my suspicion as well but not sure. I tested the spark when the engine was cold and it was ok, but didn't do it when engine was warm since I didn't have a spare spark plug. I will get one tomorrow and test it to see if it throws spark then.

What about strator?
