Yesterday I finally replaced my S150's front turn signal stalks with LED modules. It was easy and relatively cheap. I think it's cleaner looking and as visible, perhaps more visible, than the stalks. It's really bright at night!
I know there's a kit to add the turn signal functionality to the driving lights, and that it returns the scooter to the original design. But I believe that having higher, brighter turn signals is a good thing. I'm all about being more visible!
Previously, I replaced the light bulbs in the stalks with round LED modules. This helped the brightness of the turn signals, but still kept the ugly stalks.
So I decided to use straight modules along the front of the cowling and get rid of the stalks. I used the round modules on the bottom of the cowling hoping for a little more visibility, but mostly because I had them already.
I got the modules from Oznium.com. They are $10 each. They come with self-stick tape that has worked well for me so far. I just wired them to the lugs that attached to the original bulb sockets, wrapped it with black tape, and taped all of it out of the way in the cowl.
I've attached before and after pictures.
