Hi guys.... When I start my vespa and put on any indicators the front left or right will flash once only then stop working and the back indicator will just stay on all the time without blinking..... It is a px125 model with a p200 engine in it so will only run the lights extra when the engine is running.... All worked well until I had it out a good run yesterday then this happened, I have checked the switch and there are no loose wires and had the horn cover off incase anything came loose but all seems in order.... Any help would be great.
Thanks in advance..... Scott

Check the front bulbs and check the flasher relay.

Check the front bulbs and check the flasher relay.
On the battery side, behind the cowl and next to/near the regulator (behind the battery box), there is a cylindrical deally with some wires connected to it. That is the flasher relay. It's what makes the lights "blink".

Please excuse the recycled image (ignore all the red writings). The flasher relay is the unit to the right of the regulator in the picture.

T5..... I took the switch off and all looked good.... Unless there are wires the other side of the wee board in the switch. I just unscrewed the switch and looked but never took it to bits.
Cheers

Yours may have been replaced w/ nearly any shape or color, but on both my PK50 and P200 the stock flasher unit is a square blue plastic piece like this:

Found pic above at Beedspeed (in London where you can get a replacement if your local shop doesn't have them) and found this showing how it's hooked up:

Checked the flasher relay and all seemed in order, clean connections etc... I have ordered a new one so hope that solves the problem or at least rules out the relay. Yeh mine looks like thatVoodoo except its green, hope the new one works because I'm stumped.
Thanks..... scott

Check grounds on front lamps, when 1 bulb doesn't work the other on that side won't flash sometimes if current draw isn't high enough.

If all that other stuff checked out, you should be good w/ a new flasher unit. Hopefully easy fix...

You'll be scootin' safely again before you know it!

You shouldn't need to order one. You can got to just about any auto parts store and get a 12v DC 3-pole flasher relay.

How did you test it? You need to check the power wire to the switch for juice and then do a continuity test.
