So, one of the reasons I got a deal on this scooter was because the owner wasn't sure how to go about getting a gas cap for his italjet.

I made one out of an old Bertoli lid, plastic bottle cap, inner tube rubber and some hardware.

here's the cap from when I was first trying it for fit. I took it apart once I got the height about right and put it together with a piece of inner tube rubber.
