I saw this today and thought it kind of weird. Yes, it is (or was) a small boat or het ski trailer, reconfigured with a wood floor of some sort strapped on top. Then assorted yard tools, workout equipment, etc tied to the wood floor with nylon rope.

This bank of Loo's is in the Port of Oakland. What was impressive is that wet spot of blue chemical that just WILL NOT go away. It's a hearty chemical alright, and smells like relief....

Hubby sees skank stealing flowers over the fence in the neighbors yard. (The good neighbor who has been helping me every day with shots and dressing changes while I've been laid up) He pops outside onto the porch and yells at the skank that the flowers are for looking at, not for stealing. Skank yells back, "Don't grow them if you dont want people to pick them. Go ahead and call the cops. I've had the cops called on me before." SMH
I'm 2500 miles away and that response raise my ire.
The answer might be "If you don't want pounded with a baseball bat, don't steal other people's work and belongings."
Skank strikes again. This time the neighbor and a friend who was visiting caught her. Neighbor sees skank stealing flowers from her clematis. Skank is wearing headphones, so when the neighbor yelled at her, she pretended she couldn't hear. A friend of the neighbor just happened to be arriving to visit. The neighbors friend got in front of the skank and made her stop. Skank gave a bunch of excuses as to why she was stealing flowers, again. The neighbor and her friend told the skank she is damaging the plants when she rips on them. Later the neighbor talked to the local police. If skank gets caught again, the police can charge her with vandalism and/or criminal damage to property.

So, now we are all on the lookout for the skank. I will hobble to my porch on my crutches and cheer if I see the police hauling her off to jail.

Super, I know the feeling. I once started a prairie in my yard. It was full of black-eyed susans the second year. I was coming home one day when I spotted a couple walking along the road triumphantly carrying a bunch of them, roots and all I passed them, then turned around to ask where they found them.....even though the answer was obvious. I gave them a few comments about private property and all. I know I had a zillion of them, and wouldn't have missed them if I didn't know, but still you just don't go on someone's property and help yourself to what you want.

Weird shit people believe
Maybe not quite 'weird shit I saw', but closely related 'weird shit people believe http://www.viewzone.com/chemtrails.html

I can't believe people believe there is a conspiracy to spray chemicals out of aircraft to achieve climate change or mind control or some other equally ludicrous purpose.

I've bumped into a couple of these folks, and after listening for a while to their impassioned rants, almost started believing.... Then again, when you actually think about it, it makes absolutely no sense. But then again, why should one let that get in the way of a good conspiracy theory?

Didn't know that
For you vintage members. Just ran across this. Remember Froggy on the old "Our Gang" comedy series?

Read that he was killed at only 16 years old. How? Motor scooter wreck.

Here's the Wikipedia story....

"Laughlin died on August 31, 1948 after a truck hit him while he was delivering newspapers and riding a motor scooter near his home in La Puente, California. He died in a nearby hospital six hours later. A 16-year-old friend who was operating the scooter survived with minor injuries. The youths were riding a Cushman Motor Scooter given to Laughlin by his parents two weeks prior to the accident. Laughlin lived the shortest life of the actors who appeared in the Our Gang films, dying at age 16."

K i got you beat, sadly. I have a grafted lemon tree by the back fence. There are some Meyers on it but he rest are a sort of limon. Delicious. I give a lot away. There is some over hang over the fence and i don't mind if people take a few of those, I also keep large WalMart bags between the slats not near there because i collect bottles on my walks (get about $250 a month So my neighbor sees this chick get a bag and fill it half up. Wha? emoticon Livid emoticon Livid emoticon She's coming over the fence into the ones on my side. He says to her" their not your lemons and you need to ask the person who owns them if it's ok". She then proceeds to say "ive done nothing wrong and if she didn't want people to take them why would she leave bags". Wha? emoticon Bags are on my side (it's my fence also) just peeking thru so i can get them. So she proceeds to walk off with about 50 of them. He described her to me and i saw her but was on a phone call that i couldn't hang up. So when i see her i'm going to tell her that i have it on camera and explain that it might even be a felony ( their expensive here). Also going to say" that a friend who is battling cancer loves them and it helps her keep food down". However i doubt that will work. What part of stealing doesn't she get? Doubt she's like me going into her yard taking her things. Peoples sense of entitlement is getting out of hand. If she's asked me i would of given her some. Most are given away. They're delicious and people are always asking for some. I gladly give them away.Sad that i now have to out a sign up. Won't help but fingers crossed it might. Shes a little bit younger them me. Mid 50's i think. At that age she should know better. Good luck with your thief.

I've got a good one!
Last night I went to see David Hughes at the Blue Boar in Maldon, Essex.

This place is amazing, it was like going back in time.

The bar was a hunters paradise. Stuffed animals and weapons lined the walls and the coat rack was made of what looked like buffalo horns! Serving ales brewed on site!

The restaurant and hotel area was MY paradise. An Edwardian building that looked like a museum. I felt like everything should of been behind a velvet rope with a "do not touch" sign. Original paintings of many women hung from the walls, and every inch of the place even down the the furniture looked like it had been there since it was built in the 14th century - which it probably has.

The room above the bar, where David performed, was another gem! More original paintings hung from the angled ceiling and a wardrobe for the backdrop had me waiting expectantly for Mr Tumnus to stumble out. A suit of Armour in the corner and 4 original death masks hanging from the beam above me! To round off this truly quirky evening - morris dancing was taking place in the courtyard!

Here are some pictures....
Not mine, took it from the website to show you the outside. The Tudor build is the pub and the Edwardian build is the inn.
