Saw two scooterists broken down by the road side very close to home. Went to Halfords for a fuel line replacement and bought a fuel bottle for the other one. Weren't even Vespas!

bit of a long event

sat in my local when in comes a rather sweaty man wearing bright green tracksuit bottoms and grey vest

asks the barmaid for a pay phone (there isn't one in the pub)

one of other customers offers him their phone to use he then asks how to use it

anyway makes about four calls to various people and sits talking to bloke who lent him his phone

pops to the toilet and bloke who lent phone goes to the bar and says he has just told me he has escaped from prison he has done 8 years for armed robbery what do we do

with this escapee comes in and sits down

within seconds ten police officers run in and arrest the bloke

he starts saying to the bloke who lent him the phone they have your number we will find you and general other threats

turns out the first person he saw was on a boat and just happened to be an off duty police officer and recognized the prison clothing

the second was the firsts wife also a police officer

these told the police over the phone the next place he was going so the police could find him

I was happily cruising down the sidewalk to the place where I like to park in front of my house, when two smartphone zombies were coming up against me, walking next to another in that slow shuffle, almost coming to a stop at one point. Strangely, both were wearing shirts in the same unusual bright blue color, but they didn't appear to know each other. Or maybe they were communicating through their stupid phones.

They didn't include that on school supplies when I was in school. Must be for the parents.

While driving though the lovely rural village of Leeds in Kent I saw a horse.

A gentleman (assumption on my part) wearing a thigh length, full fur coat in the Oklahoma City airport. It was about 60 degrees F.

He may have been a Professional In Management Position.

I was making a right turn, car in front of me makes the right turn and stops in the middle of the turn and just sits there in a state of confusion.

For the third time since I've been commuting here (11 years) I saw (and almost hit) a striped hyena that was dining on some road kill in the middle of the lane.

They are pretty fast when startled!

Yesterday a student rode to our MSF class on his motorcycle to show it off . Failed on the spot and sent home.

Ooops.

Guessing the law is different there? In Wisconsin you can ride with restrictions if you pass the written test with the DMV. I rode the scooter to pretty much every class.

Interesting. So right now I have a permit.
30 days before I get ny license
So for the next 30 days the restrictions are
No night driving
Helmet
And the strangest one. Somebody with a license has to be with me close by in a car while I'm riding. That's a weird one.

That is weird. Not here, thankfully, and the temporary license lasts longer...I forget, maybe 6 months? So, guessing the MC guy showed up solo. Not a smart move.

Likely anywhere in your state would qualify for the last one.

Saw this on a walk today. It's got three wheels and current registration. Looks like motorcycle plates. If anything it's even smaller than it looks in the picture.
