There is a guy at the office who busted his foot and has a cast.

Instead of using his crutches to get around he insists on using his good foot to push along one of the plastic office chairs on wheels.

He pushes backward facing for speed, and pulls along frontward when accurate steering situations are required.

Funny!

When I was riding to the Docs yesterday, I saw this really fat guy driving a car with the number plate - A5 LOB. It read as A SLOB.

He wasn't lying....

My friend dragged me to see Macaulay Culkin in a pizza themed, cover band. Definitely the weirdest thing I've seen all week.

no, it was definitely Gobby the cat. I suspected him, so I gave him a slice later to see if he liked it, and he gobbled it up. He goes to the loo outside so I can't tell you whether or not it gave him the trots little tyke.

You'd think that someone passionate about pizza would be able to find a pizza joint slightly better than Pizza Hut.

That reminds me...I was once forced to eat at a Pizza Hut in London. They had "Alabama Chocolate Cake" for dessert. What the fork is that all about??? I guess that's my 'weird shit I saw' moment.
I could see German or Belgian chocolate cake but Alabama? I'm almost thinking it was a terrible racist joke because that would almost make sense.

I am glad you saw the video. 😊 I am not shy about my YouTube. She is doing well. In remission thank goodness. That was a long 3 months being her only caretaker and advocate. I put over 8000 miles on her car driving to and from the hospital for her care. 😊

The forest fire videos were from the time I was caring for my mum. There was a jet plane dumping fire retardant on the breaklines. A jet.. Plane... We had to evacuate from that fire both my mother who just got out of the hospital and my step father who just got out of the ICU himself for a ruptured kidney. It was the summer of hell. And now you can see why i didn't ride that much for a set time. The year before that during the summer I almost lost my dad and he ended up with a leg amputation with its recovery. Let's just say when I get teased for low miles on my scoot there is a reason behind the not riding for a while. 😊
Gotta do what you gotta do.

I normally don't take issue with anything said on this forum and have a fairly thick skin when statements are made about various topics but I have an issue with this statement.

I am not a native southerner but have lived in the deep south for a long time. We have had extreme racial issues in the past and still have some but they are not as prevalent as outsiders think. It is much different now than a few decades ago. I have traveled over most of the country and have seen bigotry a lot more prevalent and vehement in some other locals than in Alabama where I now reside.

I am a native southerner and have had similar experiences when I have traveled to different states. It is weird being shocked to hear or see racism expressed while traveling when you are from Birmingham, AL, but it happens.

This is the part where I grovel & apologize and ask forgiveness...or...I try to explain & risk getting blasted/banished from the forum. I'll try the latter & see what happens because I'm pretty sure you & I actually share the same viewpoint. --- My use of the word "terrible" before the word "racist" was specific & intentional...because racism is terrible (even if you own an NBA team). There is much more I could say to 'prove' I meant no harm & I could elaborate on my credentials & places I've lived in order to back myself up but this is not the forum for this and changing people's minds via typed online text is usually a lost cause (although the fact you didn't just spew profanity at me suggests you're intelligent/rational). If I'm not already banned, I'm sure everyone would prefer this be relegated to a PM conversation. To be honest, I'm hoping this is enough but I have no problem if you choose to PM. --- LC
