Cruising along in our car in the right lane at 70 mph or so, saw a chartreuse bagger come up in the left lane in my peripheral vision. Probably a HD, doesn't matter.
Tennis shoes caught my eye next... No helmet No gloves T shirt And what put him in the Darwin contender category was riding the a** of the car in front with 10 feet of distance for the few miles we were near him. At least he had visibility covered... |

As I left my house yesterday I saw an elderly neighbour brandishing what looked like a wand at her hedge.
On closer inspection she was trying to relocate a spider that had formed a web across her entrance and didn't want to touch it. After a brief interaction I took the stick from her and gently moved the spider out of the way. She was very embarrassed but very relieved. I'm going to Heaven.

Generally speaking, spiders are to be encouraged, as they eat other insects.
I can't speak for whatever monstrosities might exist in New Zealand, though.

SPIDER SNACKS
A study conducted by Lund University in Sweden estimates that spiders eat 400 to 800 million metric tons of insects each year. So spiders pretty much eat the equivalent weight of the human population every year. What's going to happen when they run out of insects because of overwebbing? Thats right, we're the main course.

Overwebbing.. Feels like that around here. I'm always running into (figuratively) webs in my garage and sheds. Most unpleasant

By taking off in opposite directions, I suspect that they are avoiding the turbulent wakes of planes taking off, so they can "launch" more planes per hour safely.

How do you know it wasn't a Teletubby pretending to be a banker? Having just recently left the employ of a London bank, I can tell you that scenario wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.

My bank talked me into using their app for deposits. I found out that the app was sending various data to 5 different companies.
I used 3 different banks, so I checked the others also. One had no tracking or data sent to various sources. It was actually a Credit Union instead of bank. So, back to walk in for one and closed the one with the most trackers. Just discovered and did this in past 3 months. My only problem now is that the money from my closed account that I buried in the back yard hasn't germinated yet, so I'm not accruing any interest. |

The last few years I was working, cashing my paycheck became even more bothersome. That is until a bank employee showed me how to load an app to deposit my check with my phone. After that, I did not go into a bank for until just recently for tax reasons. It was kind of weird at first taking the picture of the check, front and back, getting a confirmation and then just standing there holding this piece of paper which just moments before was worth something.

When I was dealing with Probate I was given a contact who deals with that kind of stuff and they made the process incredibly easy. If people don't go to the branches anymore other people lose their jobs. |
