So i went to go up the stairs to the condo to change shoes for my ride into Honolulu yesterday and what do i see? A little finch laying on it's side on the bottom step. I thought one of the neighborhood cats brought me a present. Didn't see any blood so i picked him up. He stood up in my hand and stared at me. Was able to pet his head and hold him for about 15min. Was just about to find a a box and some food and water to put in there when he flew off. Made sure he could fly well so he wouldn't get caught. Weirdest thing. I suspect he hit the kitchen window and got knocked out and fell down the stairs. Poor bird. He did have this stones look on his face tho. Maybe he got into my friends stash. Cute little bugger but the way he stared at me was eerie. It was like he was looking into my soul. Glad i could save him. Love the wild finches we have around here.

I cannot contribute except to say that "I" am probably the weirdest thing most people see daily on I-55 in Chicagoland.

Debbie and I we're hiking out to Waipo'o Falls (Kauai, Hawaii) yesterday. About 1.2 miles into the hike we encountered a pair of purple panties tossed from the trail hanging in a tree below.

Yano not a finch? Wow. I know nothing about birds. Me too. We have a flock of them out here and i love them. Had it been a myna i might not have been so nice. I guess they can knock themselves out. He looked so stoned and was perfectly happy to let me pet him for about 15min.

I used to travel a lot for work, I once checked into a motel in Williamsport Pa and found a pair of purple thongs on the floor in the corner of the room. They were big enough (I think) to fit someone with a 46" waist......

Aw man, my fat woman instruction book didn't say anything about not being able to wear sexy underwear! I've already established the habit of dressing myself wonderfully, though, and I feel good about it so I don't think I'm gonna change it now.

(I did get the chapter on making sure I repack appropriately after travelling though!)

I was more commenting on the ability or lack there of, of the housekeeping staff of said motel. That said, during my three night stay there, I felt the need to keep my socks on while in the shower, I also felt I needed to hold on to one side of the bed so I wouldn't slide off the opposite side and I brought home fleas in my duffle bag. Thank G-d no bedbugs.....!!!!

Then there was no reason to exclaim about the size of the underwear.
