I saw that this was a double posted in the diagnostic logs.

The delta between the original and the duplicate was milliseconds apart, which is useful information.

BMW Motorrad used WP forks on their Kalahari / Basic bikes.
KTM bought out WP to keep the patents and tech away from BMW on other bikes.

If KTM sold a minority stake in some of their subsidiary assets, they could likely solve their current situation.

I'll make a prediction. KTM Motorcycles will no longer be made in Austria.

Bajaj or CF Moto will pick the bones out of what's left and production will move to India or China.

If BMW have any sense they will stay well away from that mess.

Two moments today. An amputee (left leg) riding a bicycle up a very steep hill in Porto, carrying a pair of crutches; it wasn't an e-bike either.

Second, a youth on a powerful scooter was sitting at a traffic light in front of me on the Douro riverbank road. When the lights changed, he stood up on his right leg, deftly flicked his left leg back, so that the arch of his left foot was on the pillion seat. While doing this he gave the scooter full throttle, yanked on the handlebars and continued for about 1000m in a full wheelie, with his rear plate almost touching the ground

How does that even work?

Clipless pedal, so s/he can pull up on the portion of the pedaling cycle that would be the other leg pushing.

They might also be using eccentric chainrings that shift the power portion of the pedal stroke so that the usual "dead spot" at the bottom of the stroke gets shifted to a different spot.

I had never even thought of clipless, even though I use them myself. But yeah. And learning to use those was fun. Until unclipping becomes second nature I am sure I caused quite a few laughs when I fell over coming to a stop.

I thought of that, but riding one-legged uphill in Porto with clipless pedals would be difficult, not to mention downright dangerous. The chance of falling over while clipped-in seems... really high.

Yeah agreed. He was on Julio Dinis riding up to Boavista from Praça Galiza. Somewhat protected by the bus lane perhaps.
