I bet the small-print declares that I will need to send the brush head back for 'repair' and if it cannot be fixed it will be replaced with a 'refurbished' item.

Shebalba wrote: I was in Target today buying pack of replacement brush heads for my electric toothbrush. It must be classified as an electronic item because the self-checkout prompted if I wanted to purchase a four year warranty care plan on the brush heads… So if I'm supposed to change my toothbrush head regularly, does that mean I get free ones for four years? I suspect they thought their clientele would have a different pair of shoes for each day of the week! So my initial purchase eventually served me over three years, with a total of six free replacements! Needless to say, they eventually realised this wasn't a good policy. |

Yesterday afternoon, driving eastward on South Dakota's I-90 interstate hwy, in 94 degree heat (F), and a strong southern sidewind, I overcame a couple traveling back to Indiana on a very well-travelled Ural sidecar rig,
They were in full riding gear, and must have been incredibly hot..it was nasty out there. A while later I saw them at a truck stop/gas station, and had a few words with the driver, looked over his Ural rig, and wished them a safe trip. The bike had about 42,000 miles on it, and the engine had never required any major engine work, or given them any problems worth mentioning. I know that the Ural boxer twins can be a hit-and-miss proposition where it comes to their general reliability, but this one had served them well, so I was pleased to know that. I might question the wisdom of running such a heavy (The Ural sidecar is STEEL, and suitable for Siberian backroads, not 'flimsy' Capitalist composite), down an 80 mph Interstate, and if that flat twin engine can muster more than 40 'real' hp, I would be surprised, but there they were, managing 50-55 mph and chugging homeward to Indiana. Seeing this couple on this machine doesn't really qualify as 'weird' so much as just highly unusual these days, and to see it being used as a serious long-distance touring rig today makes the whole thing extra-special, So, kudos to this 'seasoned' couple for using this outfit in these times of Goldwings, Ultra Glides, and $60,000 trikes. Note the DGR (Distinguished Gentlemen's Ride) windshield sticker and related headlight treatment.... ![]() ![]()

The Ural definitely got better over the years. The BMW Airhead machines they copied were reliable as an anvil, although a bit slow to go and stop it todays environment.

I drive by these two shapely water towers often on my trips back and forth between Rapid City, South Dakota on the western end of the state, and Sioux Falls on the eastern side, and when heading westerly on interstate I-90, I pass the two water towers, which appear to be perfectly normal in their perspective as you approach, but as you pass by them, you see that the 'far' tower is in fact smaller, and slightly closer to the observer than the larger 'close' tower.

I was in a very nice Mall earlier on this morning and the power went out so none of the doors would open for about half an hour.
No one could actually enter or leave. Very George A Romero. |

So, I finally bought a Vespa after all these years. Now, I'm not one for omens and signs, but I noticed something peculiar about my shower caddy after refilling the body wash.

I'm going to suggest that the ride is going to be a little harsh with those skinny, shallow little tyres.

Yeah, the C1's going to be $32,000 when it eventually comes out.
Think what else you could buy for that. The Aemotion reminds me of the Renualt Twizzy. But worse. ![]() |

Recently Aptera did a road trip from Flagstaff to Imperial Valley CA on a single charge, a distance of around 300 miles.
What they forget to mention is that Flagstaff's elevation is 7000 ft and Imperial Valley is in a valley. That kind of helped. |

It was so bad I actually, and not literally made my excuses and left half way through. Shivers. |
