Hi guys

I have an original air box for a small frame 50s, I first used some cut it yourself filter that is more for motorcross bikes but this was to thick and the engine got no air

What should I use?
I was thinking about wire wool and the diagrams look like that was they used but I wouldn't want it going rusty and braking up

I would have thought that a Ramair filter element

Would adapt to almost anything. I've used these and they have very little resistance to air flow.

I still have the wire wool filter... few drips of oil in it and boom no rocks getting inside my engine.... I looked at the foam filter sheet stuff for dirt bikes but figured that I was not going to be running my scoot in a dusty off road environment often so stuck with factory

Yup, coarse steel wool w/ a bit of oil on it should work OK, or even one of those stainless steel pot scrubber thingies cut to fit. Fiine steel wool is probably too restricting.
