Oh, okay, then what do wee do with it. Tap=faucet. In most developed countries, you can actually drink water that comes from the town water supply directly to your house. It has this amazing quality of being very cheap, and no matter how much you drink, you don't end up overweight or with diabetes. I plan my scooter trips such that if they are less than an hour or so, I have a drink of tap water before I get on the scooter. Amazingly, if I get thirsty again, I probably need to stop for a piss too, so accomplish both tasks while I have taken a break from riding. If I carried a drink with me and drank it while riding, I would probably need to piss more often. This would mean that carrying a drink would actually mean more stops than not carrying a drink. While the above was said somewhat tongue in cheek, I really do not understand the need for some people to have a gallon of caffeinated sugar rich crap to drink while in a vehicle. |

I have an hour long commute. In FL, it's fricking hot. So I stop at 7-11 and buy a couple of 20oz Coke Zeros and tuck them in my jacket. At stop lights I can pull it out and drink. And they keep me cool!

Transporting a cup of Soda (My favorite Diet Coke)
I have the burger joint put a lid on the plastic or paper
cup and place it in a large bag. I lap the excess bag over the hand grip and scoot to the office. Not a long distance solution, but it gets the fresh fountain soda back to the office for lunch. I have them use the bags they usually put your to go order in. On my Suzuki Burgman 400, I have a swivel cup holder attached by Velcro straps. Works great. Bob Copeland Minnesota USA |

All right now: I've come up with a great way to carry my coffee tumbler (even darqmommies enjoy a dark roast 49 cent refill at the gas station)! Darqmommies always carry a cable lock just in case, so... Step 1: Snug the coiled cable lock into a corner of the underseat storage bin. Step 2: Anchor with everything else in the bin! Step 3: Place the (closed) tumbler into the coil. Step 4: Pad the empty space around the cup with... well... feminine napkins! Step 5: Close lid. Ride it like you stole it. Step 6: Open the lid. Extricate beverage. Enjoy! Note: If you do not carry sanitary napkins, you may use a coozy to secure your tumbler within the coiled cable. However, darqmommies don't "do" coozies... ![]() ![]() |
