Shoulda took notes or pics. I'm putting the headset back on and can't be sure on the routing of the harness from the frame through the headset.

I have the sheathing for the front brake switch wires and the sheathing for the large main harness coming out the frame on the throttle side.

I have the turn signal sheathing coming out the frame on the shifter side.

So far that is correct as I did not move those out of the frame.

There are 3 channels through the headset, shifter side, throttle side, and rear ( to the left of the headset bolt)

So there is the sheathing that goes to the front brake switch and that is obvious to me. It goes up to the right with the throttle cable. I think the main harness needs to go up that way too, and then the t/s harness goes up left of the headset bolt.

Or does the main harness go left of the headset bolt and the t/s harness goes up the shifter side channel with the gear and clutch cables?

Any help appreciated. I'll be searching in the mean time.

Not a very prescriptive answer Marc but as long as nothings rubbing does it really matter? Ive just done the same and used this theory (minus the indicators). All seems fine.
I'll await someones answer with more than a whole one restoration in them to explain why Ive cocked up
good luck. Be interested to know how you get on. Mines a 76 too and its just not loving me back this month.

If i was home I'd get you a better pic. Sorry it doesn't answer your specific questions. Pretty sure this is stock except for routing the clutch cable from the far side to get a larger bend radius for smoother clutch action(not recommended by some authorities).

Also, after I took the pic, I did relocate the large wire bundle to the front to keep ithe clutch cable behind the speedo. I think the two smaller wire bundles are for the turns and are just tucked behind things temporarily.

We'll, since I wasn't getting a difinative answer I did what looked most correct . Threaded up the throttle side channel in the order they come out the frame. Front to back;
1. Throttle cable
2. Front brake switch harness
3. Main harness

Of course the harness is rubbing on the frame as the bars turn. Therefore I expect to be doing the job over in 10k miles, which is how long the sheathing took to wear through the first time. I hate that.

When I had the headset off and looked at the harness, it wore thru the outer protective sheath but the wires were spared any damage. I put on some additional heat shrink tubing around the area of concern.

I also noticed that the throttle side channel had a metal nub which caused the sheath damage so I took a hand file to it and ground it flat.

Voodoo.

I noticed that you have a plastic gear/throttle base plate on your scoot.

Did it have top hats on each cable sheath terminal as stock?

I commented on another thread that my original cables were sans top hats and they were seated directly into the guide. My only top hats were on the choke cable and the front brake cable which was seated on the back of the perch lever.

Sorry don't mean to jack OP's thread, just curious. Thanks.

I saw that.. I'd told him about tophats because he has a v90 and the v90 has the metal cable guide..

Might have it off again to smooth the casting though it's the frame opening that concerns me. My rally and every one I've seen has the metal cable bracket and uses tophats. So VooDoo is a weirdo I suppose, lol
