Hi all.
So I bought this(pics below) more in gallery section and basically it goes way better than I expected.I am showing 50mph on speedo and a GPS check had it at 47.(flat as poss and no wind)
I assume that it must have an upgrade or two but came with little history.
I can see the variator thingy has been taken off and maybe this is all and I am just kucky to have a nice loose scooter but I wonder if that would be enough to produce the decent top speed its got. Acceleration is very good, even uphill and 2 up makes little difference, although me and the Mrs are both quite skinny.
So the question is..what can I easily look for to see if other alterations/upgrades have been made?
I am no mechanic although I plan to learn quickly and I got this simply because I could and because I'm one of those people who enjoys riding small things fast around town rather than fast things slowly.
Its a mid life crisis thats been going on for a while now and I got this cheap as chips. It was a bit of a two and eight to be fair but mechanically sound and all I did was put in some serious elbow grease, couple of stickers and some bits of chrome to make it acceptable for the road.
Cheers, Chris

It looks really nice, open the spark plug cover and look to see if you can see the cylinder/cylinder head (it may be covered with the cylinder head cowling) look for the words malossi or see if you can see the numbers 70, thus would explain a lot....
