I am looking for a very good quality cover for a 2009 Vespa 250ie.
I have an after market top box and that seems to be an issue.
I have tried a couple of covers and they don't seem to cover the box.
I have a cheap cover that does, but I need a really good one.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

The Vespa OEM cover is very nice, it has sections to accommodate the OEM topcase and tall windscreen that zip closed if the Vespa doesn't have them.

I have two and am very pleased with them.

Re: A good cover
I got the medium sized Oxford cover like this:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OXFORD-AQUATEX-RAIN-DUST-WEATHER-RESISTANT-MOTORBIKE-MOTORCYCLE-COVER-MEDIUM-/250975667743?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item3a6f50c61f
It sits better on a GTS with a topbox and has eyelets that help with security as well as a strap that can go across the middle or under the foot plates. I didn't want to get the OEM cover as it advertised the fact that it was hiding a Vespa.

I should have mentioned that the top box is NOT OEM. Will that make a difference?

Shouldn't make too much of a difference. The cover fit ok with the top box removed It sat a bit low but looked and functioned fine.

The ScooterWest cover is excellent! I use mine on the 250 GTS when I have to leave it outside, like Amerivespa last year. It fits perfectly over the OEM top box and tall windscreen. Don't know if it would fit yours but you could call ScooterWest and ask. Scooterwest.com currently has a 15% off sale.

It can be locked in place with a cable which also adds security. It kept the scooter dry when the lawn sprinklers soaked the landscape in the early morning hours.

the oem vespa covers are great, i have one for my 150. i also keep my scoot in the garage. Consider the fact that anything sitting outside with the name vespa on it will draw attention and perhaps not the right kind. a photographer friend once said "don't put your studio's name on your vehicle." you're telling everyone that there may be expensive equipment inside. just a thought.

DowCo Guardian L should cover it. There all about the same i think, except for price. You can get them on amazon for a good price. Just remember if you have it on during a wind storm it can tip the scooter over. Make sure to anchor it if you don't take it off. Good luck

+1 on the DowCo Guardian L. It's served me well for a few seasons now, and works well in inclement weather.

The box is easy to identify. The rider on the cover screams 'scooter enthusiast.'

I wouldn't mess with him.
