Sorry for the lack of knowledge but we just rolled out our LX50 out of the basement and the battery appears totally dead where the electronic starter isnt doing anything. Kickstart is not helping but I thought a push start would work. With motorcycles I would put it in first gear during the push and voila. Can this be done with Vespa LX50 ...questionmark

Glad it started. But to answer the original question, it cannot be push started. There is no way to make the clutch engage and turn over the motor.

Check if battery is full of acid.If it gets low your battery won't last.

the question of bump starting a scooter comes up on every scooter forum I've ever seen. There are Youtube videos of people trying, and apparently it's possible if you stick a bolt in the clutch bell and lock up the clutch. But when you stop, the scooter dies. I got a good deal on a Vespa because someone tried to pull it behind a truck to get it started, the truck stopped, and the scooter didn't stop in a timely manner.
