I've been expecting to get pulled over for this eventually. If it's not potholes it's all the randomly placed and sized utility hole covers. Sometimes I feel as if I'm playing Frogger with all those obstacles.

Surprised I haven't been pulled over, given the way my P200 handles in a crosswind.

Trepp had a great similar story a couple of years ago, regarding the police, and a maneuver of shaking water from his brakes.

the roads are scary almost like you are a stunt driver trying to avoid the potholes, this will be a rough riding season, but at least my favorite road is not terrible.

It's like a obstacle course in my town.....But, there are worse places out there.....like in Kenya!

Weaving within your lane or without? I don't think the first is an offence here. I was actually taught to do so after a longer ride on the Autobahn.

I am wondering the same. Is weaving within your lane an infraction? Assuming the OP was staying in his lane of course.

It is why I prefer dealing with an officer on the road rather than a ticket in the mail from a red light camera. Luckily I have not had to talk to an officer in over 10 years and never gotten pinched by a camera.

here too! some of them are recessed like 2". not a big deal on a car, but 10" wheels...aaah!

Greg, Kenya has better roads than we do in Hawaii. Even the cops weave here. Mocker the man hole covers are a bitch. This past year and even now has not been fun riding. The roads are just too bad. The LX rarely gets past 40 anymore. There is a section down the coast where i can open him up,if i don't have a line of cars in front of me. Very sad for the USA IMHO. My front Malossi shock is acting funny, so it's only taken 15k to probably kill it.

Totally within my lane. There are places within my subdivision where the road has heaved up 3". They added a temporary asphalt ramp to one of the places. Doesn't help much.

Yeah the fruits and nuts at the state capital here are screaming to fix the roads and screaming to give the surplus taxes back to the taxpayers. Like we can do both. DOH! FIX the roads PLEASE!

Welcome to North Carolina! Roads are wide, smooth and empty. (Except for the odd farm vehicle).

Very few pot holes. I imagine it is because we do not get the very cold Yankee winters, nor a lot of heavy trucks. (Except for the odd farm vehicle).

Glad the officer was so understanding! We get pretty nasty potholes every fall through spring because of the wet. Then the city will fix a street and the gas or telephone company will come through, dig a bunch of trenches and not fill them in properly. It's all part of the charm!
