So we took off the muffler on our '73 Piaggio Ciao, and cranked it over, and WALLAH! It fired! Only problem is that it stops firing (and running) as soon as the back wheel stops turning..The throttle does NOTHING for some reason. Any insight?
Why do you think pulling the muffler makes it run?
FWIW, muffler/exhaust/backpressure is necessary for proper 2t running, so you should replace the muffler (if it is clogged or otherwise irreparable) and try again.
