Modern Vespa

I have a non electric start px200e with lml stator and flywheel ( to work with my stella's electrical system) . This morning I readjusted my timing on the stator to 23degrees . . I had been running it at 18 degrees . B8ES plug with efl driveshaft gearset , std 7 spring clutch 23/65. I was scooting right along then suddenly poor the scoot died . plulled cowling off , no spark. now engine won't start at all due to no spark. engine is getting fuel ok . I pulled the stator assy off to check the soldiering parts and checked the wires for continuity . I will be checking my frams wiiring aswell. It never did this till today. . any suggestions or intsructions ?

I just ran these tests on stator ( from stella service manual) : red white : 93-94 ohms . white green : 550ohms

The usual suspects. Plug, HT lead, CDI.

CDI ! I was able to narrow that down quick. When I built my p200e engine last spring the d@%^ thing wouldn't start with my scoots original cdi after putting a new non electric start LML stator and flywheel on . I ordered a lml cdi from sip that was compatable with the new flywheel and stator assy(after input from other forum members)and was using that till today. I still had the scoots original cdi in my cars trunk and decided what the hell , I had nothing to lose by trying it. Once I got it wired back in, it started right up . That figures as much ! I'll know more Thursday when I get the scoot back home. More tomorrow .
