Lock my tilt lock and get continuous beep, does not beep once ignition is turned back on.
And does not beep every time either.
Can this be low hydraulic fluid?

I would check the battery especially when you turn the ignition back on and the problem goes away. That makes me think its the battery, and is charging up to the Voltage that the PCC (Park Control Computer) wants to see. It does not like low voltage and will Beep... Beep... Beep... continuously until the battery charges up. Those are my thoughts from my experiences... Keith Marietta, GA |

Check the operation of the micro-switch that 'detects' that the mechanical caliper has fully engaged the tilt-lock quadrant. I don't think it's anything to do with the hydraulics - but that's from memory.

As Jim says low hydraulic pressure sounds the horn so this is a problem with the electronics which are reporting a diagnostic fault.
Any of these could be at fault:- 1)The locking caliper sensor. 2)The wheel speed sensors ( it has to know when to release as you take off as well as when its safe to lock) 3)The potentiometer on the modified wiper motor which verifies its position according to whether it is operating hydraulic and mechanical locks, releasing the locks, or neutral position. 4)The operating motor could also be faulty or out of adjustment. 5)Even though your battery is good poor connections to the motor could still be responsible. If you download the workshop manual a significant number of checks can be made with an ordinary volt meter. Regards Roadster |

Starting to think this is a battery or charging issue even though the battery tested good. If I lock the tilt within and few sec after I stop from riding it will lock with no beeping, but if I idle for any amount of time after I stop then lock it, I get the beeping.
Will keep you updated on my findings. |

Check the voltage an hour after riding(ign off) then let it stand overnight and check again ign off(before starting)
Usually around 3-4 yrs is the life of a battery so if you know the age of it it would be prudent to change it anyway as the MP3 relies so much on having a good battery. |
