Appropriate seal I remember reading that the inside of the P stator needs to be modified to clear the cases. Anyone have experience with this? ⚠️ Last edited by mark1027 on UTC; edited 1 time

The engine is stock. Not interested in the the Vespatronic, I have one on another bike. Would rather find a crank that would work with the Femsa setup, or convert to the Ducati setup.
I had a P200 engine with a stock topend and a long stroke, and loved it. My rally needs a crank and the Femsa coil finally went out after 17 years. I have a P stator, CDI, and reg. so I'm half way there on parts if I go that route. Does anyone have first hand experience with the Ducati conversion? Would like to know exactly what I need to go that way. ⚠️ Last edited by mark1027 on UTC; edited 1 time

When building my long stroke Rally motor, I used a Vespatronic ignition. Considering the variable timing, this is a much better option for a built motor.

Also the bike has no battery or turn signals. I will be making a new harness for it, so the wiring conversion is not a problem.

As an FYI to those thinking about purchasing the modified P200 stator for installing on Femsa compatible cases: I don't advise the purchase of the SIP modified stator. I've purchased two and both were damaged by whomever did the modification. The mill/lathe cut into the ignition coil and ruined it.
