Ok so I fell over on my bike- yes I was drunk. Now it wont run for more than a second- fire it up- sounds strong but the more throttle I give it, the less power I get. I was doin 25mph at WOT til it just died. Now I'm sitting on the side of the road hopin this taxi van will let me stuff my P in the back to get home... Any advice?

Could be flooded now? Turn off the gas, pull the plug & kick it over a dozen times w/ the throttle open if you see the plug is wet. Dry the plug or put in your spare & try it again.
Be careful out there... maybe this was some kinda message |

I went to a rally last weekend and had a gal tell me that she has a ruckus she rides when she goes out drinking. She said it doesn't go very fast and when she feels out of control she just stands up and lets the ruckus do its thing. She was a pretty nice looking and I'm glad our paths hadn't crossed years back. Maybe you could take her advice when you're out partying, I didn't notice any scars from road rash?

Nah I just tipped it over tryin to have a seat on it while it was on the stand. Ended up stuffing it in the back of a taxi van. Waited 2 hrs for the van. Haven't messed with it today, was too hung over. But I managed to lose the keys in the mix too, so I'll have to deal with that too.

Oh come on... Like nun of ya ever had a few pints and thought it was a good idea to scoot home?
Here in key west, its like a game: dodging drunk people on scooters. Hell, half of the fleet around here (likely 1000+ scooters) are all banged up from drunks crashing into each other... Its like Russian roulette after 3 am... Which one will run into ya... I have to admit, I've gotten on my motorcycle after a few too many and its not fun but the body likes to take over where the brains fail ya... back in my not so bright days. I fell over because I forgot to put my feet down at a stop sign.(and a 500lb buell is tough to get off of you when in that condition...) That stopped when I had my son... As far as your scoot goes. Sounds like the float is stuck open. I have a spare key wired to the bike for just such an emergency.... (where abouts I will not disclose) . |

I found that the filter cap screw on top of the carb had worked its way VERY loose. i'm guessing that all my fuel was running out there and i was experiencing fuel starvation.
