I am looking for a book which gives instructions for the mechanic part.
I have the Haynes book but it is too British for me
Does any one know a good book in american english?

They are the same English it's just probably too technical. Really you have two options, Haynes or get hold of the original workshop manual or it sounds like just the user manual might be enough.
I have workshop and user manuals for most 60s models but you have not indicated which model you are working on. |

Haynes car and truck books are pretty good, but the vespa editions are not. You would be better of getting the information from websites like scooter help and vespa maintenance. Try the Sip website for books.

You could read this Australian blog where someone takes you through his restoration process of a 180SS from the start to even now, it was in really bad shape when he started. http://vesparestoration.blogspot.com.au I am thinking of doing the same for my 90SS Don't listen to the useless replies, some of the MV crew are about as useful as tits in a bull ![]() |
