I had my seat redone in Denver Colorado and the guy did a excellent job on it. Sorry I had picture of him doing it, but my tablet pictures got voided out when I try to transfer them to my computer. What he did was that he stripped the old padding off and then he melted the hump to make it even all the way back to the end of the seat. That hump is all plastic and us riders sometimes sit way back towards that part and it hurts your butt after while. Then after he melted it down and there is no room to put your helmet under the seat anymore just enough for you to put stuff under there. I use part of my big top box to put my helmet in there or I take it with me. Then after he pushed the melted plastic hump down just a little bit to make it straight across the seat like the Vespa 300cc seat. Then he put foam on there that the Harley riders have on there seat and he put 1"1/2 of jell on where the hump was, because that is where my problem was. Then he started to even out the seat with foam so that it was even across the seat before he put the jell pad on the seat. Then he put about 4" of foam across the whole seat to make it smooth and comfortable. I rode it for about 20 miles and it felt really comfortable. I think I'm going to have him put a small back support in the back after where the jell pad stops to support my lower back and the seat will be perfect. Sorry no pictures of him doing it. The shop in Denver is called Bitchn Stitchn 11354 W. 13th Ave. Lakewood, CO 80215. I am happy with the seat now.
As soon as I get the bike back I post some picture on the new seat but sorry I can't do it before but it looks like the old seat except they put a lot more padding on it and the comfort jell inside the seat.
We use the helmet hooks and let them hang from the straps locked to the outside of the seat. They would have to cut the strapss to get them.. No problem for 3 years.
