Very nice! Does it still serve its original function? That would be handy at the right rally...

Thanks DailyRider, I have no doubt it can still serve in that capacity

Yes, Tierney, I did. Thanks for totally missing the damn point of the post

Great way to re-purpose a wine box! How did you secure it to the rack?

I'll post a tutorial later but essentially I used pipe brackets screwed around the rear rack

Nice job, especially the spongy material between the clamp and the rack.

Thanks Teapotdome! The graphic came from a local vendor whose name is escaping me at the moment...I'll try to find their card once the Wings game is finished

Hey, I'm sorry about the comment before, I was just concerned with your safety. I really did not mean it to come off as a flippant remark, just joking. And the box does look classy, much better than the mike crate I have on mine. Peace.

No worries. I was being too defensive. I knew when I posted it someone would probably comment. Sorry for being bratty

Thanks for the compliment though - I'm so happy with how it turned out!

I'm surprised you weren't concerned with the fact that she wasn't wearing a full-face and full armor. Seriously, she got down-voted for her response? What a joke...

DetroitGirl, I upvoted your response. Hopefully, this will put you in the + karma side.

The wooden box made into a top case looks like it was meant to be on a Vespa.

Never mind the shoes. Scootering is fun.

The daily scooter girl thread must be full of all kinds of shoes you can put on when riding a scooter. I always ride my scooter in flip flops while in Thailand.

I, too, was going to post kudos on the Detroit skyline decal on your scoot. That is seriously badASS. I love it. If only San Jose had a recognizable enough skyline to warrant a similar decal, I'd be all over it! So creative... Well done.

As an aside, I've never been to Detroit, but my Mom grew up there...her Dad was a Ford Motor Co. employee. I think she lived in Birmingham? I hope to visit some day...

Cheers!

Khaosaming - thank you! I went through a pile of wine boxes to find one that was distinctly Italian And thanks for the backup on the shoes

Masala - Thanks!! I am a Detroit junkie (I know, shocking given my MV handle!) and when I saw the decal, I knew it needed to be on Bianca! If you ever make it to the Detroit metro area, give me a holler, first beer's on me

That is so nice! I am trying to decide what to use on my Vespa 90-1966. I was undecided between a wicker basket, a vintage samsonite little suitcase from the 60s or something else. Your idea is awsome, I will have to find a nice wooden crate now.

Umm....FYI, kind of a necro-thread here, and the OP hasn't posted for over a year, so not likely to get an answer.

As for the bracket size, any hardware store should help you get sorted....just measure the tube diameter.

Etsy has loads! Have a smaller crate that didn't need real hardware, but have ordered a larger one with a lid and want to attach it like a bike basket. Googled around and this post came up. A friend of mine is talking about using a wicker basket. Post a pic if you get it set up.

Nice top box!
Love the box. I was thinking of trying a cooler.
