I picked up my new-to-me Vespa GTS 250ie in Vancouver on the weekend and drove it back to Prince George - a trip of 700+ kilometres. It is still in the trailer (a UHaul) awaiting some friends to ease it to the ground. Looks good - but a muffler replacement is not too far away.
The 12,000 km checkup will probably be due by the summer's end and I was about to order the Dr. Pulley Sliders but while the price is fine, shipping to Canada is blood expensive, as it is for almost everything these days. Is there a Canadian distributor? Anyone any ideas?

If you can wait a month post over on the scooter cannonball forum and see if anyone will bring them up to you. I know several cannonballers will be either flying into or passing through Prince George http://scootercannonball.com

I just received some sliders in my package of items to install for the Cannonball. I bought them from one of the riders who has a company, scooterpartsco.com Everything I ordered came as ordered in just over a week. It appears to be a good source for parts.

If you want, order from him and have them shipped to me. I can bring them with me. Now the transfer might be interesting unless you want to ride to Vanderhoof, or meet me at the airport at 1:00 AM on Saturday night, May 31(should all the flights go smoothly). I will be riding through Prince George on Wednesday, but will be nothing but a blur to the locals.
