New paint, but mostly the same? Nice electric blue looking color though.

I'm interested in the smartphone integration... I wonder what the functions are?

Bloody frustrating! Doesn't say anything about the body or engine (except for the new horn cover). Guess its the same old with some fancy electronic gizmos and ABS/ASR.

This is a model update rather than a new model. These usually get equipment upgrades and a minor facelift & usually signal that the model is reaching the end of its life. So I wouldn't expect drastic changes to the body or engine.

This model will no doubt be retired or replaced in about 6 months to a year.

According to the article:

And available for the first time on the Vespa GTS, a sophisticated Multimedia Platform that allows you to connect your smartphone to the onboard electronics turning it into a tool with multiple functions, a real sophisticated computer capable of simultaneously displaying information such as speedometer, tachometer, but also power and torque delivered instantly, longitudinal acceleration, instantaneous and average fuel consumption, average speed and battery voltage, and much more.

It makes me wonder if the sales margin on the new Primavera is better for Piaggio so they are encouraging buyers to lean in that direction. You'd think that would not be the case factoring in new molds and amortization of various tooling.

None of which I'd want or need. The new tail light looks nice though 8)

This sums it up:

I'd wait for the next iteration -- the true big frame successor in line with the Primavera.

It's a shame that the multimedia platform doesn't support android.
I'm not putting up with an iPhone for it.

It feels like when Apple puts out an S version of the iPhone. It looks the same with a few new features. Guess I'll be sticking with my 250 for now.

Smartphone integration on a scooter- really. It's not a Goldwing. Hopefully it's an option.

The spec says:
"1Ghz or faster smartphone CPU and Android 3 or up are required."

Cheers,

Yeah. I read that also but nothing in the playstore to download. Online search brings up no apk.
I have the module installed on my 946 and so far only iPhone, ipod or iPad if you like it big.
