All fine and good, but how do you stay warm that way?

I'd like to see it work on a nice chunk of elm. The stuff my dad used to call pi** elm, for good reason.

He appears to be splitting birch.

I suspect the greenish red oak I split a mess of this spring would be a bit more of a challenge.

His swing certainly does not remind me of either Paul Bunyan or John Henry.

For $280USD I'd expect some sort of unnatural acts.
