Here is what happened. My headlight and power in general has been flickering lately, so I started to investigate inside the headlight case/ horn cover area. As I wiggled the main harness going to the ignition (with the power on- key turned on) I heard clicking noise in the area of the lock...All went dead after that. No power when turning the key...not even CODE lamp blinking. I removed the ignition lock, cleaned the connections, re-connected the harness- nothing. Two wires out of 4 going into the lock have 12V on them according to my multimeter. Is it safe to assume, the internal ignition lock failure? (all fuses and grounds seem fine). Thanks. Dan

P.S. Are there any more fuses other than inside the glove compartment?

There is a main 15A fuse under the pet carrier near the seat hinge. However if you have 12V at the ignition switch this is probably OK - but your other symptoms suggest there's a high resistance somewhere. I'd be checking the integrity of the battery connections, and work from there.

The wiring diagram and workshop manual will be of help.

Fixed! Took ignition switch apart...one oxidized plate was to blame for the loose contact. Scraped it, cleaned it with alcohol and eurika! It started right up. Another point to look at while diagnosing a non-starter. Thanks. Dan
