Okay okay, I suck.
I've been riding my CB500F for a couple of months. It's a fun ride, easy handling and always reliable. *but*..... ...it's not a scooter. I've been looking around at scooters again lately. The GTS 300 is lovely, but a couple of things bother me - build quality (or lack of), catching fire and most importantly (to me) is that they're the number 1 stolen scooter in London. I'd hate to spend a considerable amount of hard-earned money on something that's going to get stolen, even though I'm insured to cover it. I just don't want to have to deal with that. Of course, I acknowledge that *any* scooter can be stolen. I've looked at the Piaggio X10 (too big) and the Beverly 350 (just didn't like it, even though I acknowledge it's a great scooter). I've considered the T-Max, J300, Kymco Xciting 400i and Downtown 300i, Sym Joymax 300i and Honda NSS300 Forza and Silverwing 600. Here's my new ride, I'm taking delivery this Thursday.... |

Dave, it's one of those things you've got to find out for yourself. Scootering is in my blood

I wanted a Forza so badly . . . sadly it never felt 'right' for me when I test rode one - I'm only 'ickle' and while the seat height was/is great - I found it too wide for me. Shame, because it rode great - real smooth power. Enjoy it dude! |

A plastic-bodied scooter can still have decent build quality. It doesn't have to be made of metal to be well made. Look at most Honda or Yamaha products - they're very well made, with great quality control. Something we've seen as lacking from Piaggio on occasion.... |
